Having worked with leading brand agency Chaos Design to create their distinctive new brand identity, the team at Zenergi set out to align their new workspaces at Southampton Science Park with the net-zero company’s values and purpose.
AXIS House was chosen for the project because of our expertise in translating ‘brand’ into compelling office design. We were tasked with creating bold and inviting spaces, including desk areas, meeting rooms, and a core breakout zone.

“Our brand guidelines are very specific, so we needed a company that really understands brand and design. The team at AXIS House brought our brand guidelines to life. They just got it!”

The key aim with this project was to align the new office spaces with Zenergi’s refreshed brand identity while encouraging hybrid working and enhanced collaboration.
To help ring the changes at Zenergi’s new office, allowing the team to live and breathe the organisation’s purpose, we divided the space into distinct zones, each with their own look and feel. There are open-plan banks of desks and pods for hybrid working, three tech-enabled meeting rooms, a welcome area, and a kitchen and relaxation space.
Tying in with the company’s connection to the natural world, the new office interior design showcases Zenergi’s signature colours of forest green with a pop of orange, while incorporating complementary brand shades of sky blue, sage, sand and charcoal.

Curved shapes play a key role in Zenergi’s distinctive visual branding. Our design team leveraged this brand element via…

Reflecting the bold orange used in the zero graphic in the company’s logo, we introduced pops of this impactful colour throughout the new workspace via table legs, ceiling planters and bespoke vinyl artwork.
The contemporary terrazzo worktop in the kitchen also features flecks of bright orange.

Planting features through the scheme to create a visual link to Zenergi’s net-zero purpose as well as bringing wellbeing benefits relating to productivity and stress reduction.
Biophilic elements such as planters at the ends of the desks help to break up the space and some of the meeting rooms have resident Bird of Paradise plants.

By dividing Zenergi’s workspace into distinct functional zones and implementing on-brand design details, we created energising spaces perfectly suited to hybrid working and enhanced collaboration.
Design elements such as the ‘culture wall’ in the relaxation area bring cohesion to the space and act as a visual reminder of the company’s purpose and mission.
Zenergi’s offices are now perfectly aligned with the company’s brand strategy. Get in touch to find out how we could help transform your workspace.
