Having outgrown their previous offices, Hillcroft Surgery Supplies wanted a larger, more distinctive workplace that was future-proofed to support growth. The brief called for a high specification space that felt practical and memorable, giving the staff teams somewhere they could feel proud to work and come to every day.
Leadership wanted more than just a conventional office fit-out. Moving from a space that was starting to look dated and ‘generic’, our challenge was to design a workplace with genuine character while incorporating a wide range of settings and all whilst maintaining a demanding pre-Christmas delivery programme.

We’re really pleased with the quality of the finished project. Peter saw everything through from start to finish, right down to the smallest detail. The design was exactly what we asked for, and the end result speaks for itself. I’d happily recommend AxisHouse to other businesses, and in fact, I already have.

Hillcroft didn’t want another generic office. They wanted a workplace with presence. A space that felt like the next level for the business; designed to reflect the energy of a brand built around reliable next-day delivery.
The design began with one page of visual references, then developed into a workplace with a distinct industrial character. Metal mesh, brickwork, black detailing, softened brand colours and planted elements give the space its edge without losing comfort. With the design signed off, the client was looking for a process with minimal hassle. Despite a very tight programme and unexpected site challenges, the project was handled with clear communication, practical coordination and close attention to detail.

The layout supports movement, collaboration and privacy without fragmenting the space. Open plan desks, private offices, meeting pods, a dedicated meeting room and breakout areas give Hillcroft different settings for different types of work.

Beyond the visible design, the project upgraded the building’s working infrastructure. New fire-rated partitions, M&E, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, data, distribution boards, server provision and drainage changes give the workplace a stronger operational base

The programme needed to move quickly to support Hillcroft’s pre-Christmas relocation plans. AxisHouse delivered the project at pace, coordinating trades, M&E works, furniture, finishes and final detailing through a closely managed Design & Build process.

The finished space gives Hillcroft a workplace that stands apart from the generic office they wanted to leave behind. From the branded arrival point and raw, edgy aesthetic to a carefully curated furniture package, all the elements work together to reflect the quality of the company, while giving its team more space, more choice and a stronger sense of place.
If your business is growing, we can help you shape a design-led workplace that supports your people, your brand and your ambition.
