Terms and Conditions for AXIS House Shaping Futures Campaign Competition (“Promotion”)

Campaign: AXIS House will send targeted mailshots to prospect organisations with the information required to enter a competition, whereby participants fold a Shaping Futures paper airplane and record their flight time, through video footage. Participants then submit their video entry as per the instruction page provided, in order to be added to a monthly public leaderboard on the AXIS House website. If a participant wins the monthly competition, they will be given 1 x 9th generation Apple iPad. The prize cannot be substituted into other monetary forms. 

Promotional Period: The period from 00:00 1st March 2024 until 23:59 20th December 2024 (closing date) inclusive. However, the competition will be renewed monthly within this time period, so there will be ten competitions within the promotional period. 

Number of Entries: Multiple entries per organization are permitted and encouraged. However, this must only be one entry per participant per month. Any participant that has had their entry disqualified, may be entitled to enter one further new video submission. 

How to Enter: Participants must submit a video entry of their plane flight, as per the instructions in the mailshot. 

Campaign Territory: All Shaping Futures packages will be sent to United Kingdom offices.

The Promoter: 

The Promoter is AXIS House Ltd. 6 Cobham Road, Ferndown, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 7PE.

Promotion Period: 

The Shaping Futures Campaign will be open during the Promotional Period as previously stated. Entries received after the Promotional Period will not be valid or accepted. 

Campaign Eligibility: 

  1. Persons may only participate in the Shaping Futures competition if they have been personally addressed in the mailshot delivered to their organisation. 
  2. If others within the organisation wish to participate in the campaign, they are required to send a request on the Contact Us page of the AXIS House website.  Requests will be reviewed before the relevant package can be delivered to the organisation. 
  3. To be eligible to enter the competition, participants must be aged 18 or over.
  4. The competition is not open to employees of the Promoter/ employees’ immediate families or anyone else professionally involved in the Shaping Futures Campaign.

Competition Entry Rules:

  1. To enter the competition, eligible participants must use only the aeroplane competition paper provided and submit a video entry of their plane flight to the website link as per the instructions on the mailshot.
  2. Additional aeroplane paper sheets may be requested and sent, at the discretion of the Promoter.
  3. The paper aeroplane used in the flight video entry, must be folded as per the enclosed instructions. Entries showing aeroplanes folded in a different way to the instructions stated, using alternative designs, will not be accepted. 
  4. There is no entry fee for participants to take part in the competition. 
  5. The distance of the flight does not have to be recorded since it will be measured by the flight time.
  6. The distance of the flight will not be put on the public leaderboard, even if measurements are provided by the entrant. 
  7. The flight video and flying time must be recorded indoors/in the participant’s office space, to ensure a fair competition between all entrants. 
  8. Multiple entries are permitted per organisation, but only one entry per participant is allowed per month. 
  9. All entries must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. the day before the winner is announced as per The Prize point 1. 
  10. AXIS House will anonymise the publication of all participants in the competition by using call signs and randomised avatars. Entrants will subsequently be referred to as pilots.  Pilots whose entries make it onto the competition leaderboard (found on the AXIS House campaign website) will be identified by their avatar and call sign, as assigned upon the submission of their video entry and confirmed by email.
  11. Participants will be able to provide a call sign of their choosing when submitting their video entry. 
  12. An entry into the campaign must be made by the participant and must not be made through agents or third parties. 

The Prize: 

  1. AXIS House will finalise winners as per the below: 
  • Winner 1 announced – 28/03/2024.
  • Winner 2 announced – 30/04/2024.
  • Winner 3 announced – 31/05/2024.
  • Winner 4 announced – 28/06/2024.
  • Winner 5 announced – 31/07/2024.
  • Winner 7 announced – 30/09/2024.
  • Winner 8 announced – 31/10/2024.
  • Winner 9 announced – 29/11/2024.
  • Winner 10 announced – 20/12/2024.
  1. The winner will receive 1 x brand new, 9th generation Apple iPad. 
  2. AXIS House will contact the winning participant within 48 hours of finalising the winner via email or telephone, to agree a physical handover date of the Apple iPad prize. 
  3. Handover of the iPad prize must be concluded within 30 days of the participant winning the month’s competition, unless specifically agreed between the parties.
  4. If a prize is forfeited, for whatever reason, the pilot who recorded the next longest flight time that month will be considered the winner.
  5. Winners will not be required to have their photograph taken at the prize handover for promotional purposes. 
  6. The gift is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and will not be substituted for an equivalent cash value/ any other monetary forms. 
  7. Only one iPad can be won per organisation/branch office across the entire promotional period. 
  8. In line with the 2005 Gambling Act, only one participant can win an iPad per month. 

Data Protection: 

  1. AXIS House is the Data Controller for the purposes of data protection legislation. Any personal information submitted by the Participant shall be processed in accordance with AXIS House’s Privacy Policy, which is available to view at https://axis-house.com/privacy-policy/
  2. The Prize winner may use their submission to announce themselves as the winner and for reasonable promotional purposes, they are permitted to connect the announcement to the AXIS House Shaping Futures Campaign. 
  3. AXIS House is keeping all participants’ names and organisations anonymous. See Entry Rules, Pt 9.
  4. When participants submit their flight video, they are permitting AXIS House to upload it to the public flight leaderboard on the campaign website and promote it through their organic social media channels. 

Liability:

  1. AXIS House is not responsible for any visible branding in the video footage submitted by participants of the competition. 
  2. Winners are fully responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and/or tax liabilities incurred in claiming and using the prize. 
  3. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from entry into the competition or a winner’s acceptance or use of the Prize. The Promoter’s responsibility for any damage, loss or injury to an entrant under these terms and conditions or otherwise in connection with the competition shall be limited to the value of the Prize won by the entrant. 
  4. The Promoter will not be liable for any personal injury or death, resulting from entry into the competition or a winner’s acceptance of the Prize. 
  5. Each entrant will indemnify the Promoter and its affiliates against all costs, claims, losses, damages, expenses (including legal expenses) or other liability arising as a result of a breach of these terms and conditions, negligence or any other action which imposes an unreasonable burden on the website including (but not limited to) the use of software robots. 
  6. AXIS House will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive submissions due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or entries; (c) any computer or communications-related malfunctions or failures including but not limited to the website; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond AXIS House’s control; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Shaping Futures campaign. 

General: 

  1. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 
  2. If any entries have been submitted using scripts, automated systems, collaborative practices, brute force or via a third party for commercial gain, such entries will be deemed invalid. 
  3. The promoter does not guarantee that the website will be operational on any specific device or system or that it will be error-free or available all the time. The promoter will not be responsible for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connection or difficulties of any kind in the operation of the website. 
  4. The website may contain links to other websites, including those of third parties. These links are provided for convenience and are not under the control of the promoter and as such AXIS House makes no warranty, either express or implied, concerning the content of such websites including claims of infringement or that such websites are devoid of viruses or error-free. 
  5. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to eliminate or disqualify an entrant from participating in the competition. 
  6. The rights are remedies of the Promoter under these terms and conditions are without prejudice to its right under the law. These terms and conditions shall not create any rights or benefits enforceable by any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.  
  7. If any provision or part-provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it will be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision will be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause will not affect the validity of the rest of these terms and conditions. 
  8. The Promoter reserves the right to hold, void, suspend, cancel or amend the campaign where it becomes necessary to do so, without the prior notice at any time, for whatever reason and without liability to any entrants for doing so. 
  9. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law. Any dispute arising out of this campaign shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of England and Wales.
